Paired with Ripley’s US15-7000/US15-7010 Pro/US15-7110 Pro MAX Cable Sheath Jacket Stripping Tools, the US15-7020 allows the LV MV HV power cable jacket to be easily lifted and stripped by the cable jointer/technician.

How To Use Cable Sheath & Jacket Lifting Tool
- Set the US15 blade depth to 75-90% of the jacket thickness. Then perform a ring and spiral cut. Concentric neutral cable is illustrated here.
- At the end of the cable, at the score line, carefully drive the wedge tip of the Cable Sheath & Jacket Lifting Tool between the neutral wires and the jacket about 1/4 – 1/2” deep.
- Roll the jacket lift tool using the built in dowel pin leverage to get a start on the jacket. Peel the jacket end up far enough to grasp it easily with pliers.
- Finally, peel the jacket with pliers or by hand.
