Bi-Metallic Cable Lug LV HV
Cembre CAA150-M12 is a bi-metallic cable lug with a ring terminal, an aluminium seam and electrolytic copper fixing – suitable for crimping aluminium cables onto copper busbar or connections with a maximum cross section of 150sqmm.
The barrels of series CAA-150-M12 connectors manufactured by Cembre are made from Aluminium of a purity equal to or greater than 99.5%.
The barrel is friction welded to the palm of the cable lugs thus achieving the best possible transition between the Copper palm and Aluminium barrel. Barrels are capped and filled with grease so as to avoid oxidation of the Aluminium. Special application cable lugs and electrical connectors are available for compact control panels, transformers, substations, overhead lines and the jointing of underground cables in resin-cast, heat-shrink or Cold Shrink technology cable joints.
