Nexans CSJS-B are single phase compact cold shrink joints – size B cable joint suits from 95sqmm to 400sqmm single core cables up to 36kV with GPH bolted type mechanical connectors meeting HD 629.1 S2 International Standards.

The CSJS-B combines cold shrink and bolted connector technologies (shearbolts) for reliable underground MV joints and connections in a small cable trench (max=1m) or in specific aerial applications.

The Nexans cold shrink cable joints have been designed to connect 33kV/36kV single core polymeric cables (XLPE EPR) with cable cross sections from 50sqmm to 400sqmm whether they are aluminium or copper conductor cores on underground MV power cables.

Nexans CSJS-B Cold Shrink Joints 33kV 36kV

Installation is complete by the removal of the cold shrink tubes by the Cable Jointer MV HV without the requirement of a heat source (jointers torches), material filling or wrapping. The cable joints can be energized once assembly is finished.

• 1 x CSJB-S cold shrinkable compact joint manufactured by Nexans
• 1 x two layer plate
• 2 x mastic strip
• 2 x water sealing mastic strip
• 2 x self-adhesive copper tape
• 1 x mechanical connector

The cable joint kit also comprises an installation hook, adhesive tape, lubricant, wipers, jointers gloves, white pencil and installation instructions.
