Ellis Patents 2 Hole cable clamps are aluminium single cable cleats for cable diameters ranging from 38-168mm – the 2 hole cleats are typically used to clamp and support LV low voltage power cables 600/1000V (BS5467 | BS6724 XLPE SWA Armoured) to cable containment in electrical building services and substation installations.
Ellis Patents 2 Hole aluminium cable clamps are also designed to fix, retain and support low and high voltage cables (HV) and are ideal for use in dry industrial or outdoor unpolluted applications. Additionally, the aluminium cable cleat can be epoxy coated for use in harsh environments and hazardous areas including offshore sea air conditions.
The Ellis cable cleats, with 2 bolt fixing design, are manufactured from LM6 aluminium to BS 1490 and are available in 18 different sizes to suit cable diameters from 38-168mm and can also be supplied with a V0 Neoprene liner.
International Standard IEC 61914:2009
Ellis Patent cable cleats with international specifications are used to clamp and retain LV MV HV cables including 11kV and 33kV networks depending on short-circuit calculations according to IEC61914 calculations.

1. Position the aluminium cable clamp and 2 bolts (not supplied) onto the support structure | 2. Install the LV MV HV cable | 3. Locate the other half of the cable clamp. Secure with 2 fastening nuts and washers (not supplied) and tighten |
4. Important. Do not over tighten the cable cleat. The cleat should secure the cable but does not need to be so tight that the cable bulges at either side of the cable cleat |
