Alroc PG cable tools are used by MV-HV jointers to remove the outer sheath to prepare the cable ready for the installation of joints, terminations or connectors.

The PG tool manufactured by Alroc is safer and more precise than a knife enabling the user to make a circular and longitudinal cut in order to remove cable’s outer sheath by the jointer. All cable sheath cutting depth ranging from 0,5 mm / 0,019 in to 5 mm / 0,196 in are available on demand.

The Alroc PG range of cable sheath and cable jacket strippers are compatible with: XLPE, PE, PVC, LLPE, PUR and rubber type sheathed cable jackets.

The following instructions detail how to use the Alroc Fente cable jointing tool safely and effectively.

1. Alroc-Fente: Cable jacket’s (EV/NPT) aluminium screen slitting tool (outer diameter capacity 16mm to 60mm)
2. Make slits on the cable jackets screen
3. Precise control of the tools slitting depth
4. Set up of the Alroc-Fente on the cable
5. Easy slitting of the jacket and the aluminium screen by operating the lever
6. Ensure the cable slits to be at 120° from one to another
7. Spread the cable jacket’s screen tabs to enable the setting up of the earthing connector
8. Spread carefully the tabs with limited angle thanks to the tip of the Alroc EV/NPT
