The Cembre B450ND-BVE Battery Crimping Tool is a high-performance cordless hydraulic crimper engineered for reliable installation of electrical connectors across low and medium voltage cable applications.
Featuring a powerful 50kN crimping force and compatibility with conductor sizes up to 150mm², it ensures secure, repeatable terminations for cable lugs, splices and connectors. Its 18V Li-Ion battery system delivers consistent performance in demanding field environments, while the balanced one-handed design and ergonomic handle improve operator control, comfort and productivity during prolonged use.

The B450ND-BVE battery crimping tool is fitted with a maximum pressure valve and an Li-Ion 18.0V 2.0Ah high power battery which has LED indicators to display the remaining battery charge by pressing the adjacent button. Cembre B450ND-BVE battery crimping tool is an 18.0V cordless hydraulic crimping tool which can be operated with one hand and is balanced for greater control.
Weight and balance have been reconfigured to yield improvements in handling and convenience and the more rigid structure of the bi-component plastic body provides greater mechanical protection while its rubber inserts boost operator safety and comfort.
The head rotates by 180º for ease of use within confined spaces and has a robust moulded body which is highly resistance to damage. Additionally the crimping tool is extremely quiet with minimal vibration. Flashing work lights and a continuous beep indicate to the operator that B450ND-BVE battery crimping tool has reached the working hours at which ordinary maintenance is recommended. It is also a feature that the operating data is stored on a memory card for transfer to PC by USB interface.

| Operation Stage | User Instructions |
| Preparation | • Ensure the crimping tool is in the rest position and battery is removed. • Select the appropriate die set for the connector. • Open the latch and release the upper die holder. • Insert one die into the upper die holder and one die into the lower die support. • Close the crimp tool latch securely. • Insert the conductor into the connector. • Position the connector between the dies and ensure correct crimp alignment. |
| Die Advancement | • Hold the tool firmly and press the operating button to activate the motor pump. • The lower die will advance toward the connector. • Release the operating button to stop advancement. • Check die alignment carefully. If incorrect, reopen the dies and reposition the connector. |
| Compression | • Press and hold the operating button to continue compression. • The ram advances until both dies meet. • Continue holding until the maximum pressure valve activates and a click is heard. • After activation, oil bypasses internally and no additional crimping force is applied. |
| Release of Dies | • Press the pressure release button. • The ram retracts automatically and the dies open. |
| Head Rotation | • The tool head rotates 180° for improved access and operator comfort. • Warning: Do not rotate the head while the hydraulic system is pressurised. |
| Replacing Dies | • Open the tool head. • Remove existing dies from their seats. • Insert the new die set securely. |
