Ellis Patents 2 Hole cable clamps are plastic single cable cleats for cable diameters ranging from 38-168mm – designed to provide an excellent flame retardant solution with very low emissions of toxic fumes and smoke.

The 2 hole plastic cable cleats are suited to 38-168mm cable diameters with a double bolt hole fixing and are used to fix power cables in both indoor and outdoor applications.

The plastic cable cleats are available in black polypropylene, black flame retardant zero halogen phosphorus free nylon (LSF) and made to order London Underground approved material (LUL) to support, clamp and retain power, S&T rail cables.

LU LUL Cable Cleats

International Standard IEC 61914:2009

Ellis Patent cable cleats with international specifications are used to clamp and retain LV MV HV cables including 11kV and 33kV networks depending on short-circuit calculations according to IEC61914 calculations.

Installing Cable Cleats

Installation instructions for single way cables using 2 Hole Cable Clamps manufactured by Ellis Patents:

Position the cable clampInstall CableLocate the other half of the cable clampDo not overtighten the cable clamp
1. Position the cable clamp and fixing (not supplied) onto the support structure2. Install cable3. Locate the other half of the cable clamp. Secure with a nut and washer (not supplied) to the support structure and tighten4. Important: Do not over tighten the clamp. The clamp should secure the cable but does not need to be so tight that the cable bulges at either side of the clamp or becomes angled excessively
