Euromold 400LB is a screened separable elbow connector specified to terminate and connect medium/high voltage cables in the following voltage classes:
The Euromold 400LB elbow connector with 630A current rating is designed for Interface C and covers voltages from 12kV to 24kV with a maximum conductor size of 300sqmm.

Euromold 400LB plug-in elbow connectors can be supplied as a tee connector (400TB or 440TB) and with surge arrester 400PB Â – all suitable for use with Interface C Symmetrical type bushings on SF6 gas-insulated switchgear.
Euromold 400LB separable elbow connector are designed to connect all polymeric screened cables to suit CENELEC Interface Type C (630amp) equipment bushings up to 24kV. Designed to connect polymeric insulated cables with a copper wire screen but can be used on wire armoured, copper tape screen cables with the use of additional screen earth kits and accessories.
Connector accessories include: dead-end receptacle, dead-end plug, stand-off plug and earthing plug for type C interfaces.
The Nexans Euromold 400TR-LB is used for the 400LB Separable Connector Type. The Euromold 400TR-LB MV Test Rods are designed to find cable fault location, phase checking and cable testing up to 11kV/24kV.

Euromold 400LB Elbow Connector 11kV 24kV – Design
Separable elbow connector comprising:
- Conductive EPDM insert.
- Conductive EPDM jacket.
- Insulating EPDM layer moulded between the insert and the jacket
- Type C – 630 A interface as described by CENELEC EN 50180 and 50181
- Conductor connector (not included in the standard kit)
- Insulating plug
- Cable reducer
- Earthing lead
- Transition contact M10/M16
The thick conductive EPDM jacket provides a safe to touch screen which ensures safety for personnel, cables and electrical equipment in medium/high voltage installations.
