SPS compound filled unit twin copper telecom cable jointing kits comprise of a range of heatshrinkable enclosures in tubular and wraparound form. The jointing and cable connection system accommodates single and multi-cable entry and each enclosure allows re-entry if required. Complying to cable specification FTN Copper Trackside Cables – NR/PS/TEL/00015 (formerly Network Rail RT/E/PS/00015).

A complete range of pilot cable joints using Scotchcast resin for cable encapsulation, electrical insulation and mechanical protection for 4-61 multipair armoured cables with PE/PVC insulation.

FTN Cables

Fixed Telephone Network (FTN) copper trackside cables are manufactured in accordance with rail industry specification NR/PS/TEL/00015. FTN copper trackside cable are widely used in rail telecoms applications as well as elsewhere in the transport industry.

Cables are suitable for installation in trackside concrete cable troughing or buried cable duct routes. Direct burial installations are possible using the Armoured Copper Trackside cable variations. This range is also available with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outersheath making it suitable for installations in areas where smoke and toxic fumes may cause a threat to life and equipment.
