33kV MV HV Cables – Medium & High Voltage Power Cables XLPE

Waveform Cables

Contact Thorne & Derrick for competitive prices and UK delivery on the complete range of Waveform Cables – 3 or 4 core with XLPE insulation, copper wire waveform
concentric cables with solid aluminium conductors (sector shaped) and PVC cable sheath 600/1000V manufactured by TF Kable.

Waveform cables are the standard low voltage cable used to construct most new extensions to LV power networks in the UK. The term waveform refers to the neutral/earth wires in the cable which are laid in a wave formation (not wrapped around the cable) to assist cable stripping when the jointer accesses the live conductors.

Thorne & Derrick are Specialist Distributors to the UK Distribution Network Operators and ICP sector providing Waveform Cables, Accessories & Electrical Equipment for LV MV & HV Networks – the DNO approved cables are installed for adoptable networks and contestable connections on following DNO’s: Northern Powergrid (NPG), ENW (Electricity North West), Western Power Distribution (WPD), Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN), Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE) and United Kingdom Power Networks (UKPN).

Typical common aluminium conductors from stock are 95sqmm, 185sqmm and 300sqmm.

Waveform cables are XLPE insulated and PVC sheathed power cables used for the supply of LV electrical energy 600/1000V – cables are suitable for installations in the open air, in underground and water, indoor and in cable ducts. The concentric conductor is allowed for use as neutral, protective or earthed conductor.

Simultaneously this also is permitted to apply as a screen, for example earth-connected protection against contact.

Cable Delivery

Waveform cables are available from delivery from stock including cable accessories to UK mainland addresses on a next day basis – in response to fault repairs cables can be delivered on a same day “load and run” express basis to site. Please note for sites without offload facility we can arrange delivery via self-loading vehicles.
