SP Energy Networks is part of the Scottish Power Group of companies offering safe and reliable electricity supply to all customers including providing power to 1.5 million customers in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and North Shropshire as well as 2 million in central and Southern Scotland.

SPEN have 30,000 substations (1 for every 100 customers), 40,000km overhead lines and 65,000km underground cables – operating in three of the UK’s largest cities (Liverpool, Glasgow & Edinburgh) accounting for 1.6m (43%) of our customers, as well as delivering LV-HV power to significant rural areas (North Wales, Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway).

Employing around 2,600 people in 17 locations in the South of Scotland and 17 locations in England and Wales.
