Tools are for compatible for the cutting of XLPE, EPR, PILC type insulated cables and subsea umbilical including Inter-Array Cables – this includes LV Low Voltage up to 600 Volts, MV Medium Voltage (11kV/33kV) and HV High Voltage (66kV/132kV) cables.

Hydraulic cutting tools achieve a smooth, straight cable cut including armoured and lead sheathed cables without damaging or deforming the copper or aluminium conductor prior to jointing or terminating cables.

Cembre TC120 Cutter Tool for LV HV Armoured & Unarmoured Cables

Hydraulic cutting head specifically designed to cut copper, aluminium and telecommunications cables having a max overall diameter of 120 mm and used in conjunction with the PO7000 pump. The cable cutting head can easily be opened to cut running cables, and the handle allows the most comfortable positioning of the head onto the cable to be cut. The Cembre TC120 head is complete with a quick automatic coupler for connection to a hydraulic pump with a working pressure of 700 bar max.

Cembre HT-TC055

Pictured | Cembre HT-TC055 – the hydraulic cable cutting tool is a hand operated tool designed for use by LV-HV cable installers and jointers, overhead linesmen and electrical engineers for cutting copper, aluminium, telecommunication cables and steel ropes with a maximum overall cable diameter of 2.17 inch (55mm).

Cable Cutting Tools

The cutting tools feature an advancing speed setting automatically switching from a fast advancing speed of cable cutting blades to a slower cutting speed – tools are provided with a maximum pressure valve (MPC1 manometer is available upon request to check the proper setting of the valve).

Before starting cutting cables ensure that the latch is fully secured – partial closure may damage the cutting tool head

Do not attempt to turn the tool head if the hydraulic circuit is pressurised

CORDLESS HYDRAULIC BATTERY OPERATING CUTTING TOOLS

Featuring 18V Li-Ion battery type operation the Cembre range of cable cutting tools are designed and specified to cut overhead lines and conductors including copper, aluminium, steel ropes and aluminium up to 95mm outside diameter. Tools are available to cut stay wire, steel rope and earth rods – the tools feature a 180° (320° for Cembre B-TC550E) rotating head for cutting cables and conductors in confined spaces including “scissor” movement of the cutting blades to facilitate the cutting of running cables. With improved ease and speed of cutting the balanced tools feature heat treated cutting blades for extended service life. The battery is equipped with LED indicators to display the remaining battery life by pressing the adjacent button.

With double speed action the cable and conductor cutting tools have been adopted by UK and international electric utilities for use by jointers and linesmen due to several user-friendly features including: shoulder strap, rubber grip inserts, low noise, minimal vibration and impact resistant shell resistant to shock and impact damage during field use.

Insulated Cable Cutters

The Klauke ES32SISML-WSH is a battery powered cable cutting tool with a maximum cutting range of 32mm suitable for use with copper and aluminium conductors up to 300sqmm. The Klauke ES32SISML has a slim cutting head for Jointers working in substations, switchgear and trenches with confined spaces – the insulated cable cutters provide advanced worker and electrical protection to utility contractors working live in the vicinity of energised Mains and Service cables up to 1000V.

Klauke cutting tools are available with 10.8V DeWalt Li-Ion Batteries and are fully insulated to the electrical requirements of IEC 60900.

Designed specifically for LV Cable Jointers, the ES32SIS-WSH features a shortened blade profile, minimizing the risk of accidental contact with an adjacent phase during cable cutting and jointing operations. The redesigned blade pivot point ensures maximum cutting leverage, allowing for the efficient cutting of single-core stranded copper and solid aluminium cables up to 300sqmm lightweight, compact and providing ultimate electrical safety when cutting and working on LV networks and cables prior to Jointing or Terminating.
