Lucy Fortress Feeder Pillars
Lucy Zodion’s Fortress range is a leading solution for secure, reliable and customisable electrical feeder pillar installations across utility, highways, rail and urban infrastructure projects. Engineered for long-term performance, the Lucy Fortress feeder pillars are manufactured from galvanised steel, stainless steel or cast iron, and are available in a full range of RAL colours with anti-corrosion and vandal-resistant finishes (including G2A Highways coating).
Suitable for low voltage power distribution networks up to 1000V, the pillars offer replaceable internal backboards, anti-condensation heater options, and secure lockable enclosures. This makes the Fortress range ideal for future-proofing site power networks, while allowing easy maintenance and expansion.
Available in 28 standard sizes including Mini, Slimline, Single, Double and Triple Door feeder pillars, the Fortress enclosures can be supplied empty or populated with LV switchgear, metering and termination hardware.

Westminster In-Ground Feeder Pillars
The Lucy Zodion Westminster retractable feeder pillar offers a secure and space-saving solution for temporary or semi-permanent low voltage power access. Engineered from galvanised steel with an IP67-rated enclosure, the pillar deploys from ground to socket in under 60 seconds and retracts completely when not in use—ideal for high footfall or publicly visible environments.
These in-ground electrical feeder pillars are specified with earth leakage protection, overload safeguards, and metering or data access where required. Popular in applications like markets, event spaces, transport hubs and shopping centres, the Westminster range delivers flexibility and safety in equal measure.

Public & Street Lighting Feeder Pillars
Our street lighting feeder pillars are manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel to IEC60947 standards and designed to protect and control LV power distribution networks. These enclosures support metered and unmetered public lighting installations with 3-phase configurations and HRC type fuses for short-circuit protection.
Custom Feeder Pillars for Critical Infrastructure
Thorne & Derrick works in partnership with Lucy Zodion to develop custom-built feeder pillars for NHS trusts, rail projects, and utility networks. These pillars are fabricated with IP65-rated galvanised steel enclosures and integrated foundations, enabling safe connection and termination of 3- and 4-core XLPE SWA LSF or PVC cables (BS5467 / BS6724).
In this example for an NHS facility, single and double door feeder pillars were configured to distribute power from LV switchboards and substations to site-wide systems.
Another example includes a pre-wired feeder pillar built for a TransPennine Express train care facility. This 3mm thick galvanised enclosure includes a removable root section and bitumen base coat, housing a 250A busbar with 3P+N switch disconnect. All internal wiring and galvanised trunking complies with BS5467 660V/1000V.
Rail Feeder Pillars & Network Rail Approved Solutions
We supply GRP feeder pillars for rail and trackside installations, engineered for low-maintenance, corrosion resistance, and safety in electrified zones. GRP feeder pillars, cabinets and kiosks are non-conductive and eliminate the risk of dangerous touch voltages in public or PADS-specified areas.
These Network Rail approved feeder pillars can be equipped with:

Each pillar is constructed from 3mm thick steel, finished with bitumen-coated root sections and tri-head locking mechanisms for anti-vandal protection.

Feeder pillar cabinets play a critical role in delivering safe, low voltage power distribution to electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. These pillars are typically supplied with a 3-phase DNO (Distribution Network Operator) connection and house protective switchgear such as RCDs and MCBs to guard against overloads and electrical faults.

Power is routed underground via cable duct to the charge unit, with enclosures designed to IP-rated standards for external use.
