Ellis Patents Alpha Cable Cleats are aluminium or LSF Zero Halogen trefoil cable cleats for cable diameters ranging from 23.2-74.6mm for cable applications where the moderate to low levels of short circuit withstand are required.
Alpha cable cleats are designed for rapid installation and are manufactured from extruded aluminium making it lighter and tougher than cast products.
The trefoil cable cleats are supplied with zinc plated closing fasteners. The polymeric LSF zero halogen base option can be used to prevent galvanic corrosion.
International Standard IEC 61914:2009
Ellis Patent cable cleats with international specifications are used to clamp and retain LV MV HV cables including 11kV and 33kV networks depending on short-circuit calculations according to IEC61914 calculations.

INSTALLING CABLE CLEATS
Installation instructions for trefoil cables using Alpha cleats manufactured by Ellis Patents:
1. Remove the setscrew, sprung washer and nut. Fix the cleat to the support structure with a securing bolt, washer and nut (supplied upon request). NOTE: The cleat may have the optional LSF (plastic base). Installation instructions are common.
|2. Install the cables.
NOTE: Trefoil installation pictured – single cable installation similar.
|3. Replace the setscrew, sprung washer and nut and tighten.
NOTE: Do not over-tighten. The cable cleat should secure the cable but does not need to be so tight that the cable bulges at either side of the trefoil cleat.
