3M Cold Shrink cable joints require no hot-work permit or special tools for installation – specified for rail cable sealing, insulation and protection and are approved by Network Rail for live rail terminations and inline cable joints for DC track feeder cable applications. 3M Cold Shrink Tubes are made from EPDM rubber, expanded onto a removable supporting plastic core providing a permanent radial seal, expanding and contracting with the cable under load conditions.

RAIL CONNECTORS
Pfisterer RSC-T ground tap rail connectors comprise of several parts and can be mounted directly onto an existing system – the ground cable is laid in place without any preparatory work and enclosed by the electrical connector using a locking bolt.
The SICON piercing bolts penetrate the insulation to establish safe and reliable contact with the ground conductor. Any possible damage to the metallic conductor is avoided by means of the proven SICON technology typical to their range of shearbolt lugs and connectors.

Marechal Decontactors can be disconnected under full electrical load for planned maintenance or rapid change out of equipment during shutdowns and construction – typical applications include generator sets, motors, machines, distribution boxes, pumps and electric cabinets .
Decontactors are a Plug & Socket Assembly with Integral Switch Disconnector featuring a safety button placed on the upper section of the safety socket enabling the user with a single press of the button to disconnect the equipment – can be removed in complete safety and a shutter protects the user according to IP4X/IPXXD as the live contacts are inaccessible behind the closed shutter.

Cable Cleats
Thorne & Derrick stock and distribute the complete range of Cable Cleats & Hangers manufactured by Ellis Patents including “No Bolts” cleats for short circuit retention and cable protection of LV (Low Voltage), MV (Medium Voltage) and HV (High Voltage) cable systems in single-way formation in accordance with London Underground 1-085 Specification.
Ellis No Bolts Cleat are all polymeric, metal-free and stackable cable cleats – the first ever cable cleat to be granted PADS approval by Network Rail. Ellis Patents No Bolts cable cleats are part of the single cable cleat range and feature integral “Twist-Foot” function for speed of installation – the stackable cleats require no conventional metal fixings for supporting steel-work for use in underground rail tunnels.
