Cable cutting and crimping tools manufactured by Cembre are used to cut or crimp most types of low, medium and high voltage cables including EPR, PILC, XLPE, PVC insulated cables with copper or aluminium conductors, lead sheath, steel wire armour (SWA) or wire braid.

Cembre tools are used for cutting and crimping underground cables or overhead lines to support the installation of LV-HV power cables and conductors into switchgear, substations, transmission and distribution networks – tools are the highest quality for the compression of electrical connectors, cable lugs and joints in high voltage electrical cable installations in both indoor and outdoor locations up to 33kV.

Copper connectors undergo an annealing process in order to optimise the structural characteristics of the metal.

➡ Cembre HT131-C Cable Crimping Tool | the industry leading and most extensively used hydraulic crimping tool for the connection and compression of electrical connectors, lugs and splices up to 400sqmm. This new model, self contained, robust and sturdy, will accept all semi-circular slotted dies, common to most 130 kN tools. The Cembre HT131-C tool features a double speed action: a fast advancing speed for rapid approach of the dies to the connector and a slower more powerful speed for crimping. For ease of operation and comfort of the operator the tool head can be fully rotated through 180 degrees. The built-in safety valve will by-pass the oil supply when the maximum pressure is reached, and the pressure release system can easily be operated at any stage of compression.

➡ Cembre TC120 Cable Cutting Tool | the hydraulic cutting head specifically designed to cut copper, aluminium and telecommunications cables having a maximum overall cable diameter of 120mm. The cutting head can easily be opened to cut running cables, and the handle allows the most comfortable positioning of the head onto the cable to be cut. The head is complete with a quick automatic coupler for connection to a hydraulic pump with a working pressure of 700 bar max – the TC120 manufactured by Cembre is used in conjunction with the PO7000 foot pump.

Cembre tools and connectors enable cutting and crimping of cables for installation of glands, joints and terminations including 11kV-33kV.

Aluminium, Copper & Bi-Metallic

Cable lugs suitable for connection of 11kV-33kV power cables with copper or aluminium conductors to MV-HV electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers and control panels – complete range of Cembre connectors and splices for cable jointing and terminating are available to suit low, medium and high voltage cables including power, control and instrumentation.

HV cable lugs are available as single/double hole types, suit 16-1000sqmm cables, manufactured from annealed high purity copper tube for crimping cables and are compatible with cold shrink or heat shrink cable terminations.

Bi-Metal Cable Lugs & Connectors | the Cembre CAA-M range of crimp lugs and connectors are designed for the termination of aluminium circular stranded conductors onto copper busbars – the barrel is friction welded to the cable lug palm achieving the optimum transition between the copper palm and aluminium barrel. Made from aluminium EN AW-1050A according to UNI EN 573-3 of a purity equal to or greater than 99,5% and electrolytical copper Cu-ETP CW004A according to UNI EN 13601.

This new range of MAXIblock and MAXIbrass cable glands manufactured by Cembre allow the passage of cables with a larger diameter, saving space and time on installations by becoming increasingly flexible and practical compared to the standard range of cable glands which makes it possible to install large diameter cables.

The Cembre 1940.M and 2940.M series of cable glands are characterised by the extended cable entry compared to the standard range, a longer thread makes installation on thick plates easier.
