UtilityTool US01-7000 Adjustable Cable Stripping Tool manufactured by Ripley Tools is used for mid-span and end stripping on both primary and secondary utility cables – the cable jacket/sheath stripping tool is compatible with URD, PE, PVC, copper tape shield, LC shield and flat strap cable jackets and XLPE, PE and EPR insulation.
The Ripley US01-7000 is the industry’s most reliable and accurate adjustable tool for mid-span and end stripping of cable sheath jackets – eliminating the need for traditional cable stripping knives. The cable stripping tool has end and midspan stripping capability, along with a unique clamping design. Handles are also specially designed to be ergonomic to ease turning leverage and removability for use in tight locations.
The clamp-on style cable preparation tool with set depth ensures repeatable cable preparation and sheath removal without damage to screen/concentric wires on LV MV HV power cables.

Cable Stripping Tool for Jackets & Sheaths of LV HV Cables | Ripley US01
The Jointing tool ensures safer and easier cable preparation with reduced Health & Safety risks and accidents including cuts and lacerations – the innovative tool supports “no open blade policies” for the stripping of outer cable jackets. The inserts reduce friction during rotation around the LV HV cable and an integral bar forces the cutting blade into optimal position. An ergonomic handle reduces worker fatigue for repetitive cable stripping in the field. The Ripley US01 blade can be angled and adjusted to suit the application and ensure comfortable cable jacket peeling without inflicting damage to cable.

Blade Depth Gauge: US01-7504
This blade depth gauge is available as an accessory for the US01-7000 stripping tool. It provides positive blade depth control and can be used for all cable sheath stripping functions. It is particularly useful when mid-span stripping while making a blind cut.
Ripley Us01-7000 Operating Instructions
- Adjustable For Different Cable Diameters
- Rotate thumb knob (A) to draw the jaws together around the cable diameter.
- Blade Pitch Adjustment
- Loosen the Blade Pitch lock screw
(B) 1/4 turn, slide to the desired blade pitch angle, and re-tighten.
- Loosen the Blade Pitch lock screw
- Blade Depth Adjustment
- Rotate the Blade Depth screw (C) for the desired depth setting.
