Euromold R909PB/G Coupling Connector 66kV

Euromold R909PB/G is a 66kV screened separable coupling connector (bolted type) for dual cable arrangement specified to terminate and connect high voltage cables.

The Euromold R909PB/G coupling connector with 1250A/1800A current rating is designed for Interface F and covers voltages up to 72.5kV with a maximum conductor size of 1200sqmm.

Euromold 909PB plug-in tee connectors can be supplied as a tee connector (R909TB) or as plug-in type epoxy bushings – all suitable for use with Interface F type bushings on SF6 gas-insulated switchgear and 66kV electrical equipment.

66kV connector accessories include: dead-end receptacle, dead-end plug, stand-off plug and earthing plug for type F bushing interfaces.

Euromold R909PB/G Coupling Connector 66kV – Design

Separable coupling connector comprising:

  1. Interface designed to fit R909TB/G
  2. Bus for R909PB/G (contact rod and stud)
  3. Conductor connector (hexagonal crimping or bolted type)
  4. Conductive EPDM insert
  5. Conductive EPDM jacket
  6. Insulating EPDM layer moulded between the insert and the jacket
  7. Cable reducer
  8. Conductive EPDM cap
  9. Basic insulating plug
  10. Earthing lead
  11. Heat-shrinkable sleeve

The thick conductive EPDM jacket provides a safe to touch screen which ensures safety for personnel, cables and electrical equipment in medium/high voltage installations. The screen break design enables cable outer sheath testing without removing or dismantling the connector.
