MV HV 11kV 33kV up to 42kV

The Nexans MONOe FCi heat shrink cable terminations are specifically designed to connect and terminate single core medium voltage polymeric cables with XLPE or EPR insulation and aluminium tape screen up to 42kV, including 11kV and 33kV systems.

MONO terminations are fully Tested & Approved to Cenelec HD 629.1 & IEC 60502-4 for connection applications, 16-1200sqmm up to Umax 42kV with various screen types (CWS Copper Wire Screen, CTS Copper Tape Screen and Aluminium Foil).

MONO manufactured by Nexans are a single component cable termination; the termination features an integrated stress control field and anti-tracking insulating tube which can withstand humidity, extreme temperatures, UV radiation and heavy polluted environments – the short tail length delivers a compact termination with reduced shrinkage and scope for potential Jointer error.

Terminations are compatible with the following International Cable Standards: IEC 60502-2, BS6622 (PVC), BS7835 (LSZH Low Smoke Zero Halogen), BS7870-4.10 (Including Triplex), DIN VDE 0276 Part 620 (N2XS2Y / N2XS(F)2Y / N2XS(FL)2Y) Cables in the following medium voltage:

MONOe FCi outdoor Cable Terminations for Medium Voltages

Easy, quick to install, reducing cable termination installation time and errors
Termination kit consists of a stress control mastic pad, a co-extruded dual wall tube and red anti-tracking sealing mastic
Anti-tracking rain sheds are supplied to withstand outdoor environments
A cheese-rasp + earthing braid is included in the termination kit.
MONO design accommodates various conductor lugs including mechanical shearbolt “GPH” type cable lugs
Sealing is provided by the anti-tracking mastics applied over the cable lug barrel and onto the outer sheath of the medium voltage cable

Both Nexans MONOi (Indoor Termination) and MONOe (Outdoor Termination) contain sufficient material to terminate 3 single core cables i.e. 3 phase cable termination kits. WSK 2.0 type with “T” braid and roll force spring instead of cheese rasp available upon request.

Cable Termination Components | For air insulated cable box applications, the Nexans MONO termination can be combined with Nexans FB Bushing Boots (Universal & Cold Applied) to fit most types of busbar connection or switchgear bushings. Ancillaries include Bolt-on Top-Hat style SWA | AWA Glands, Solderless Earth Kits for Copper Taped Screen Cables, Lugs (Crimp or Shearbolt Mechanical).
